There are numerous signs that can make you suspicious of your partner and wonder if they are seeing someone else. However, while some of these signs create room for doubt, others leave no stone unturned. 

Infidelity is heart breaking. Imagine finding out that the person you love and care about so much is having an affair with someone else. It has driven people who couldn't handle the heart-break to do real nasty stuff. 

So, what are these signs?

They Always Clear their Chats History

Now, clearing chats history in itself isn't a bad thing. Actually, it gives your phone's storage more room to breathe. However, when it's done frequently and selectively, then it's a red flag. You shouldn't get suspicious of your partner if you open their phone and see all their chats cleared. That's a pretty normal thing to do if you need more space on your phone. 

On the other hand, if you notice that one particular chat is cleared frequently, they are hiding something. Come to think of it. Why clear one chat and leave the rest? If you frequently notice this behaviour in your partner, they are likely cheating on you. 

Your Partner Never Takes Certain Calls in your Presence

Unless your partner is a spy and doesn't want you to listening on classified information, that is a very furtive behaviour. If you are with your partner and you notice that whenever their phone rings, they become uncomfortable and glance at you, it is very likely they are having an affair. 

Admittedly, there are other situations and circumstances that may warrant such behaviour, but it's almost always infidelity. This is easy to notice if this behaviour recently started. So pay attention to the signs. 

Why does your partner get jumpy and nervous whenever a certain call comes in? Why do they suddenly want privacy? Something's cooking. For your sake, I hope it's not what it looks like.

Your Partner Never Wants you to Visit Without Prior Notice

You must learn to read between the lines or a lot of things are going to happen right under your nose. Now, letting your partner know ahead of time that you are coming is totally cool. It shows respect for their space and privacy. Also, it could be because they are not often around.

However, when they vividly insist that you must ALWAYS notify them before coming, something's not right. Perhaps, they are indirectly letting you know that if you spring up a surprise visit, you will be the one surprised. Trust me, it will definitely not be a pleasant surprise. 

Decreased Libido

A lot of factors such as stress and depression can trigger a decrease in your partner's sex drive. A sign such as this can be innocuous on its own. However, when it doesn't add up with other occurrences, it's likely your partner is cheating. 

For instance, if your partner is always the more eager one for sex, then their recent non-challance is questionable. Also, if you add up their furtive behaviours with their phone to the recent reluctance to have sex with you, something is definitely wrong. 

If they are always giving you excuses such as 'I'm tired' and 'I had a rough day' every single time, pay attention! It's alright not to feel in the mood from time to time. It happens to everybody. However, if it's a norm with your partner, it's a clue they are getting their action elsewhere.

If Your Partner is Spending an Unusual Amount of Time with Someone Else

As two separate individuals, your lives should never revolve around each other. That's understandable. You both have other people in your lives. You shouldn't be suspicious or alarmed when your partner decides to spend time with someone else. It shows you are not clingy. 

However, when your partner suddenly starts spending unusual amounts of time with someone else, that's worth looking into. Especially, if they are keeping this person away from you. 

It could be that their attention has been stolen by this new person and your relationship is under threat. So, if you see this sign, it's time you and your partner have a talk.

Lying About their Whereabouts

This is one of the most common and obvious signs that your partner is cheating on you. C'mon, let's face it. Why else will your partner lie to you about where they are? Obviously, it is because they don't want you to find out what they are up to. 

One of the hallmarks of a good relationship is accountability. You should be transparent with your partner. Lies have a way of making seemingly innocent acts a lot more guilty in appearance. It also erodes trust. The day your partner starts lying to you, it could mean someone else is lurking around.

P.S: some of these signs are not enough on their own to rouse suspicions of your partner's infidelity. Signs such as decreased desire to have sex and insisting you notify them before coming over could be innocuous signs. However, when they are consistent with the occurrence of other crystal clear signs, it's time to find out what's going on!
